Your application will be then placed on a waiting list for Weatherization.
You may receive a pre-inspection to determine if an energy audit can be scheduled.
You will be contacted by telephone to schedule an Energy Audit of your residence. This inspection will take approximately 1-2 hours. The auditor will need access to all areas of each dwelling unit in the building, including attic and basement. An adult must be present during the audit.
The results of the Energy Audit will determine what Weatherization energy saving measures, if any, can be performed on the dwelling based on entering building information into a computerized software program called the National Energy Audit Tool (NEAT).
If the property is found to not qualify, the owner will be mailed a Deferral or Denial letter.
If the property is eligible, you will receive a detailed Work Agreement explaining what Weatherization measures can be completed in your dwelling.
Once signed paperwork is received, your file will be reviewed and sent to the Production department to process work orders based on the scope of work outlined in the energy audit
La Casa will issue work orders to our subcontractors. You will be contacted to schedule an appointment to begin the Weatherization improvements. A final Inspection is scheduled with the owner to verify that all measures have been completed and correctly installed according to program specifications.
Some dwellings will receive an additional inspection for quality control after the project is completed.
