K3 Teacher Position Details:

  • Supervise and ensure the safety of children at all times.
  • Be alert to the needs of children as individuals and as a group.
  • Plan and implement an enriching curriculum that helps move children as individuals and a group toward meeting our stated developmental goals.
  • Work with co-teacher, associate teacher, or teacher’s aide if applicable.
  • Plan and implement activities and projects that support children’s learning.
  • Work with teaching team to set up and maintain a well-organized classroom.
  • Conduct two individual parent/teacher conferences per year.
  • Complete required paperwork, including accident reports, incident reports, curriculum plans, and team meeting reports.
  • Communicate frequently with parents in a professional and respectful manner.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Early Head Start Teacher Position Details:

  • Plan, schedule, and implement developmentally appropriate curriculum and daily program activities at the level of assigned children.
  • Provide care, supervision, and protection for assigned children, maintaining a nurturing and safe environment conducive to their growth and development.
  • Complete developmental assessments and screenings for all assigned children and develop individual goals.
  • Maintain all necessary documentation to demonstrate compliance with EHS performance standards.
  • Implement federal, state, and local health and safety policies and procedures.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with families, review their needs, and document children’s progress.
  • Attend and participate in workshops and other meetings.
  • Communicate with parents through conferences, written correspondence, and phone calls.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Early Childhood Education Position Details:

  • Plan, schedule and implement developmentally appropriate curriculum and daily program activities at the level of assigned children and each child’s individual needs.
  • Provide care, supervision and protection for assigned children. Maintain a nurturing and safe environment conducive to children’s growth and development.
  • Complete developmental assessments and screening for all assigned children and develop individual goals.
  • Complete and maintain all necessary documentation to demonstrate compliance with EHS performance standards.
  • Implement federal, state and local health and safety policies, procedures and performance standards.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with families and review their needs and progress.
  • Document children’s progress, or lack of progress, and complete all required forms and reports in accordance with federal and/or local and state requirements.
  • Attend and participate in workshops and other meetings to acquire and disseminate information.
  • Communicate with parents through parent conferences, written correspondence, telephone, regarding upcoming events, classroom activities, individual education plan changes, or other relevant information.
  • Assure that cleaning and safety policies are implemented with consistency.
  • Works with Education Coordinator, Disabilities, Mental Health and Nutritionist to complete all required screenings, assessments, and reports in a timely manner.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications for Early Head Start:

  • Must have a CDA or Infant and Toddler Credential (Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood Education preferred)
  • Minimum age requirement: 18 years old
  • Must implement positive guidance for children and work effectively with diverse families

Qualifications for K3:

  • AA or higher degree in ECE/CD or related field
  • Early Childhood Teaching Certificate preferred
  • Minimum age requirement: 18 years old

Qualifications for Early Childhood Education Teacher:

  • Must have completed Childcare courses
  • An associate degree in early childhood education is preferred.
  • Minimum age requirement: 18 years old

Physical Demands for Roles:

The physical demands for K3, Early Head Start and Early Childhood Education roles include sitting, bending, stooping, lifting up to 20 pounds, and performing necessary movements to ensure the safety and care of children. Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $13.00 - $23.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
