Assistant Director, Children's Education Programs
BASIC FUNCTIONS: Primary responsibilities include assisting Associate Director of Center-Based Children’s Education Programs in all aspects of the Children’s Education Programs
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for staff scheduling, ensuring that staff structure meets all applicable regulations.
- Responsible for billing and seeking and collecting payment from parents.
- Responsible for creating purchase orders and conducting ordering as approved supervisor.
- Assist in enrollment and orientation of children and families and updating of documentation.
- Address parent concerns.
- Act as first contact for staff concerns.
- Assist in supervision of staff programmatically and administratively.
- Monitor the facilities and grounds for safety and compliance, informing the Supervisor of any areas in need of correction.
- Assist the Supervisor to ensure that all applicable regulations and requirements are met within the Center (State of Wisconsin Daycare Regulations, NAC standards, USDA requirements).
- Perform regular checks of opening and closing checklists, first aid kits, and others as requested by supervisor.
- Review policies and website and recommend changes needed.
- Maintain confidentiality and exercise appropriate discretion.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- Associate’s degree preferred. High School Diploma with at least 3 years’ experience in Early Childhood Education required.
- Excellent customer service skills required.
- Minimum of one year of Early Childhood Education Administration experience required.
- One year of supervisory experience preferred.
- Experience working with families and knowledge of family dynamics required.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to work with a diverse population.
- Ability to work independently.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Some evening and weekend work may be required.
- Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds.
