SUMMARY DESCRIPTION OF WORK
The Human Resource Generalist will run the daily functions of the Human Resource (HR) department, hiring and interviewing staff, administering leave, and enforcing company policies and practices.
PRIMARY FUNCTIONS
· Work with the Chief Administrative and Finance Officer (CAFO) , Sr. Generalist, and Department Managers on employment issues.
- Conduct onboarding and offboarding processes.
- Collaborate with department leaders to recruit, interview, and select employees for vacant positions.
- Participate in recruitment activities.
- Maintain personnel files for current and former employees.
- Stay informed on trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law; apply this knowledge to communicate relevant changes in policies, practices, and resources to leadership.
- Assist with administering employee benefit plans, including collecting benefit enrollment documents and entering them into the HRIS.
- Facilitate internal company communications.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Preferred Minimum Qualifications:
o Bilingual Spanish (Required)
o Ability to meet changing job conditions
o Knowledge of selection, training, recruiting, and supervision of personnel
o Knowledge of wage and salary, and performance appraisal administration
o Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
o Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
o Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
o Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
o Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
o Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
o Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
o Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
Education and Experience:
o Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field required.
Two to Four years of progressive Human Resources experience
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60,000.00 - $63,000.00 per year
