Billing Specialist
BILLING SPECIALIST – Full-Time - Accounting Department
La Casa de Esperanza, Inc. is seeking a Billing Specialist for their Accounting Department. The preferred candidate must have a minimum of 3 years of experience in collections and billing, can demonstrate critical thinking skills, knowledge of collection activities, and has an extremely customer-focused attitude.
Job Responsibilities:
- Correspond with a minimum of 30 customers daily.
- Manage an assigned portfolio of past due accounts.
- Minimize bad debt exposure, maintain aging at an acceptable level.
- Work with clients to ensure state assistance authorizations are current.
Job Skills Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in collections and billing.
- Associate’s degree in Accounting, Business, Finance or related field.
- Ability to pay close attention to detail and excellent organization skills.
- Ability to independently resolve problems successfully on the phone with clients and internal departments.
- Strong computer skills with the ability to operate within multiple software systems.
