Position Summary:
This position oversees the team of Energy Auditors. The Energy Audit Manager is responsible for the daily and weekly job schedule, answering technical questions from auditors, assigning appropriate personnel to specific home energy projects and ensuring that contract goals are met. The Energy Audit Manager will conduct audits and also verify that all audits conducted by the team of Energy Auditors are in compliance with the standards set forth by the State of Wisconsin including; NEAT audit, assessing owner contributions for multifamily projects and buy-downs on individual projects. This position will also work with State Quality Assurance personnel on issues arising from energy audits.
The Energy Audit Manager must be able to review NEAT audits and 62.2 building diagnostics, advise auditors on necessary revisions and direct and coordinate job-site adjustments. The Energy Audit Manager must also make decisions and provide guidance to weatherization operations personnel in completion of individual weatherization jobs. This position is responsible for providing a superior level of quality work and customer service. Working with the Vice President of Weatherization, this position will develop succession plans internal to weatherization auditing to ensure continuing program requirements are met.
Job Responsibilities:
- Verify that each energy auditor is meeting individual energy audit goals and are contributing to the agency meeting weatherization contract goals.
- Provide technical support to energy auditors as required
- Verify that all necessary equipment is available for energy auditors
- Take necessary action to complete program and contract goals
- Work with weatherization training officer to ensure all necessary credentials and certifications are in place
- Supervise and evaluate the energy auditors and administrative support staff
- Verify energy auditors’ work is in compliance with the requirements contained in the weatherization manual and with applicable local codes
- Ensure maintenance requirements are met for diagnostic equipment used by the energy auditors

Education Requirements:
- High school diploma, GED or equivalent experience required. Technical school or college degree is an asset
- Asbestos Inspector Certification required
- Lead-Safe Weatherization Renovator Certification required
- Basic Energy Auditor & Intermediate Energy Auditor Certification required
- Mobile home classroom & field training is an asset
- Energy Auditing & Modeling 5-24 Unit Buildings training is an asset
Desired Characteristics:
- Bilingual English-Spanish is an asset
Environmental Requirements:
- Must be able to work in fast-paced environment
- Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds.
