OUTREACH COORDINATOR – WEATHERIZATION – Full Time
BASIC FUNCTIONS: This position assists the Outreach Manager in securing new customers for the Weatherization Program.
REPORTS TO: Outreach Manager FLSA: Non-Exempt
Job Summary:
This position assists the Outreach Manager in securing new customers for the Weatherization Program. This position must be committed to work toward reaching the program goals and to work toward ensuring that quality weatherization work is performed on all eligible clients’ homes to make their homes more comfortable and energy efficient.
Responsibilities:
Perform routine and special tasks required to foster the achievement of the organization’s mission, goals, and objectives. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Target potential customers to enroll in the Weatherization program that resides in the City of Milwaukee as well as Milwaukee, Waukesha and Jefferson Counties
- Generate sufficient applications/mailers to reach program and contract goals via WisWap referrals database
- Identify multi-unit properties and work with property management/ LLC groups to meet the required level of 50% referrals currently receiving benefits within the most current heating season
- Review and verify sensitive information on applications as a means of determining eligibility per the Department of Energy Weatherization program manual
- Provide assistance throughout the application process to the tenant, property manager, and building owner in order to qualify the property for an energy audit
- Provide follow-up services to ensure completion of the application and verification process
- Contact eligible clients to indicate forthcoming service expectations; send approval letters and informational flyers
- Perform compliance for each assigned project; ensuring contents have proper documentation to achieve zero findings for the outreach department
- Assist Vice President of Weatherization and Program Managers in reaching quarterly goals
- Attend and/or present at various community outreach events and luncheon
- Coordinate projects with Contractor to provide Quotes
- Coordinate with We Energies to collect fuel records
- Coordinate with the Energy Assistance program to obtain program referrals to qualify Multi-Family buildings
- Send referral transfer requests to agencies and Helpdesk
- Schedule Multi-Unit projects
- Prepare Mobile Home and Multi-Family Inspection Packets
- Attend various Milwaukee County-Division of Energy Services and We Energies Committee meetings to develop and implement better business practices and efficiencies
- Train administrative program interns
- Assist Vice President of Weatherization and Program Managers in reaching quarterly goals and other assigned duties
Required Qualifications/Education/Experience:
- Strong organizational skills.
- The ability to keep several projects moving and on target simultaneously.
- Attention to detail.
- Interpersonal Skills.
- Some positions require prior knowledge and understanding of heating systems, weatherization, or the State Energy and Assistance Program.
- Some positions require prior knowledge of computer operation: Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, etc.
Essential Functions:
Mental: The employee is regularly required to talk, hear, read, write, and sit. The employee must be able to demonstrate confidentiality, problem-solving, basic mathematical functions, and reasoning. The employee should have strong organizational skills, the ability to handle multiple concurrent tasks and to communicate with others.
